At the Agbara/Ijanikin axis of Youth for Christ Nigeria in Lagos, powerful stories of growth and impact continue to unfold - reminding us that transformation often begins with small, consistent steps.
One remarkable testimony is that of a young man who, at the age of 20, struggled significantly with reading and writing. By God’s grace, he gained admission into school, which prompted a renewed commitment from the YFC team to support his learning journey. Through intentional guidance and encouragement, something extraordinary began to happen - he gradually improved and eventually started reading the Bible confidently during meetings. This visible growth is a testament to perseverance, support, and God’s enabling grace. We give glory to God for this progress and remain hopeful for even greater development ahead.
In the same season, the centre was privileged to host two visitors: Pastor David from Youth for Christ Kenya, and Pastor Adeoba from YFC Lagos Mainland. Their visit brought fresh encouragement and strengthened ongoing ministry efforts.
Together with the local team, they visited three schools for outreach and engagement. During these visits, Pastor David shared words of encouragement with the students and prayed with them, creating moments of inspiration and spiritual reflection. It was truly a refreshing time for both the students and the ministry team.
One of the most impactful outcomes came from one of the schools, where seven students made a thoughtful and informed decision to follow Christ. Plans are already in place to ensure proper follow-up through a capable and committed teacher within the school, ensuring that these young believers are nurtured and supported in their new faith journey.
These moments highlight the heart of YFC’s mission - raising lives, building confidence, and creating lasting spiritual impact in young people across communities.
